I've tried a lot but found Dolphin the best of all. Great community and co-developers. Powerful plugins available.

For me the best software to create a dating site. Without knowledge in computer, today I have a site with 39,000 members. I just create a new site a few months ago, it is a matchmaking site between babysitters and families. Already 8051 members.

I've tried them all - buddypress, se, ox, phpfox, etc, etc. Most are shallow and muddy, while Dolphin is deep and clear. Heaps of features, intuitive structure, strong community.

It is very user friendly and a great overall software in general. Dolphin is suitable for individuals of all ages.

I'm

I am not considered a computer wiz by any means. I find the Dolphin script to be loaded with plenty of ammo to get you on your way to making money. It is user friendly for the cut and piasters that never knew much about coding, like me. As is, the script is very interesting and packed with the community tools that everyone wishes they had. Like everyone else, it has issues and BoonEx works hard to get it right. I love it.

I've been a Dolphin user and BIG contributor to the advertising of there service I think it is the best social networking software ive seen. But over the years I am really starting to realize the code really is sloppy its just not stable, everything is wrong about the core code. I love this program easy to use out of the box, but its a show.

Boonex

I'm using Dolphin 7 and find it to be usefull, but it does beat Skadate.com by far. Dolphin 7 has flexability to customize for each person.

Amazing

I jumped into Dolphin after making countless Joomla sites and yes with any new script it takes time to learn it. Now after using Dolphin 7 for the last month I can say there are so so many possibilities and customizations. If you study and learn as much as possible you too can push this script to the limits and still never come close to seeing its full potential. Amazing... :-)

Horrible.

Have used Dolphin 7x for several months now, and hate it. My users hate it too. The code is very sloppy -- excessive SQL queries, poorly designed template system, very hard to figure out where to go to change something. I need a software package that drives my community... but doesn't drive them AWAY.

Unstable, many ads, bad configure ... i dont like

Not ready for prime time

Beautiful site but the mods needed to make it 'yours' require you to learn a lot of coding. This is time that noone has, except for developers. The commmuity is vibrant but they are mainly focused on modules, and not the underlying portal software itself.

IDK

It's extremely hard for me to create my own template/Page because it has no option within Dolphin to do so. I don't see how this is "user friendly" to anyone who doesn't know how to code pages. Hope I can get some help. Plus it has no tutorial to do so. Believe me, I've spent several hours looking and trying to figure this thing out.

Close but no cigar yet

Great script, agree with the unsteadiness. Updates keep coming in betas, or are they alphas? with each update a new beta and features that workied beautifully seem to go ary. They are on the right path, functions needs to be scaled way back and they need to concentrate on stability.

⚊ a Guest - socially(May 7, 2010, 1:46 pm)
Not as yet

This script has a beautifull design and a lot of potential, but it's not hundred percent ready yet. It queries a lot and is quite unstable. I got a complaint from my host regarding excessive traffic (more than 2500 emails in the mail queue) while trying to register just one user. As I said, it's a nice script but needs more work.
